The Association "La vita è
un dono" (Life is a gift) in memory of Luca,
Simone and Davide Carbone, comes from the wish to progress in studying Propionic
Acidemia, a hereditary metabolic disease which, despite the
very strict diet the patient follows, often gets out of control and causes
irreversible damage to brain and other organs. |

oak because I’m smart, wise,intelligent and
strong DAVIDE Davide, with his simplicity, identified himself with an oak tree: he had deep values like the roots of this tree, and this gave him much
strength and wisdom. Download the radio jingle of the Association,

These words which Davide wrote as his last school assignement are a teaching and an incentive because, if LIFE IS A GIFT, it is always important to try and protect it, even when it is difficult and almost impossible. Davide
believed it and so must we all. " For me life can be defined a gift that is given
to us by God and by other
people and we must live it completely and at our
best. It is wrong to think that life is ugly only because we are in
trouble or we can't succeed in
doing something. Life is endless because it comes from
